Each morning is vague as it begins shadowed lights fell out of the river into my room a truck marked SANITATION made too much noise for too little I couldn’t remember why I’m getting up at this time the alarm kept ringing I turned it off I won’t try today the drills had begun already building something it’s too late to stop I drove along the river two months ago the bridge fell the cars that streamed along the bridge and I we all fell into this morning which is just a light splitting days from other days I can’t leave loving the drive so much it stayed with me silently those noises are hard they know it’s 9 to 5 but the bridge doesn’t know and I don’t know deep inside I never stop and am drowning right through this it’s morning repeat it it’s morning |
